Renter’s Checklist
Are you getting ready to move into one of our rental properties? Our handy renter’s checklist will help you keep track of all the details. Click here to print this list
If you do not currently have an account with us, arranging for funds to be wired to a Manhattan bank account is the most convenient way to submit your deposit and fees. We also accept traveler’s checks.
Payments
One business day after you’ve selected your property, we will require your full rent amount and security deposit, which can be submitted to us in the form of two certified checks. We will then expect a third check with your brokerage and application fees to be submitted to us within one week of receiving your rent and security deposit.
Paperwork
We require a letter from your company which states the following:
- Your salary
- Your title
- Your start date at the company
- Your guaranteed bonus amount (if any)
- Your housing allowance (if any)
This letter should be on company letterhead and signed by your supervisor. Include your last 2 or 3 pay stubs with your company letter.
A copy of your driver’s license or other personal photo identification is also required. If possible, please bring more than one type of photo identification with you.
Information
Because you will be required to fill out a credit application, please ensure you have the following information with you:
- Your social security number
- A list of your previous landlords, including their names and contact information
- Your accountant’s name and contact information
- Names and addresses of 3 previous employers
- The name and address of your bank/s, accountant and guarantor
